We are thrilled and proud to announce that BeYOUtiful Mindz was awarded the First Prize at the prestigious INSPIRE Designathon. This incredible achievement is a powerful validation of our mission to create inclusive and accessible mental health support systems for adolescents facing emotional distress, trauma, and HIV-related challenges.
As first-prize winners, we will receive crucial funding, mentorship, and technical support to further develop and implement our project. This award enables us to accelerate our journey and bring vital mental health awareness, care, and hope to even more young people.
The INSPIRE Designathon is a dynamic three-day innovation sprint that brings together youth, researchers, health professionals, and community leaders from across Africa. Its goal is to create new, practical solutions to improve HIV prevention, care, and mental health support for adolescents and young adults.
Using a human-centered design approach, teams collaborate to understand the challenges young people face, brainstorm creative ideas, and develop working prototypes for real-world community settings. The event amplifies youth voices and fosters collaboration to support innovative, scalable, and sustainable approaches to some of the continent's most pressing health challenges.
